Ofsted Inspection - 06 February 2019
All parents have received a copy of the letter received from Ofsted summarising the school's inspection which took place on 06 February 2019. This letter will be published on the Ofsted website on Wednesday 13th March 2019. If you would like a paper copy, please call into the school office to collect one.
This letter may look rather different to other inspection reports that you have seen. This is because this inspection was a short, one day, inspection, otherwise known as a Section 8 inspection. A school like ours that was judged to be good at its last inspection, normally receives a one day short inspection approximately every four years. The purpose of a short inspection is to determine whether the school continues to provide a good or better standard of education and whether safeguarding is effective. You will see from the letter that:
"This school continues to be good."
"Safeguarding is effective."
I am sure that you will be pleased with the report and with the many positive aspects of our school that the inspector has commented on. She has noted that our school is "a happy, purposeful and welcoming learning community" and that she was particularly impressed with the 'meeters and greeters' who welcomed her into their classrooms and were enthusiastic in their explanations of their learning. I am sure that, like me, you are very proud of your children and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for working in partnership with this school to achieve such a positive outcome.
If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be pleased to help.
